This links directly to my LiveJournal account (shockingly, it's damnedsexyhippy.livejournal.com), and some posts do not get full transferred on the RSS feed, it is always worth bouncing straight to LJ to make sure you're seeing the entire post.
And since it will disappear over time, since the RSS only shows based on posting time, here's the first post, with the introduction to why I put this page together. **I discovered that apparently if you go in to edit the gadget at all for this, you will end up losing the posts since the last time you edited, which means all of my posts prior to 3/28/09 are now gone. You can read them at damnedsexyhippy.livejournal.com if you are interested.**
-- I have been making and experimenting with home made beauty products for the last year and a half, and found myself wishing I had a place to track all my thoughts and the work I've done. The lessons I've learned and the information I'd gathered. That's where this website came in. What started as a "could be a new filter on my personal LiveJournal", grew into "Nope, let's do this the right way". So ingredients, recipes, and a blog, musing on what I've discovered, looking into how things are working. You'll notice that I have very little hair care up yet, it's because to date I haven't found anything that really works for my hair. I have a whole lot of long, fine hair, and everything either leaves me hair heavy and greasy feeling or dries it out to straw. Neither of those is acceptable, and neither fits the "sexy" part of my goal with these recipes. So the only things I use on my hair are an olive oil and honey deep condition once in a while and a coffee and rosehip soak to darken my greys a little. My skin is dry, and my breakouts tend to have more to do with dry patches than oil build ups, so you'll notice that right now the recipes I'm using tend to assist with keeping my skin moisturized. I use the rosewater honey toner, pumpkin honey and almond cleanser, and the almond and honey moisturizer. My skin hasn't looked this consistently good since before puberty, I'm *very* happy with these recipes. But I will be building more information about the individual ingredients that are out there, and if any of you have recipes that you've found work for you, I'm happy to post them (with your information of course! :)). -- |
